Re: Redwoods Restaurant in St. Pete... On New Years Eve, at the end of our lackluster $350 meal a couple in our small group tooted their party horns several times. The staff wigged out, the chef came to our table and insisted we leave the restaurant and the bartender phoned the police! A female server (not ours) walked past and screamed at us! After forgetting her purse at the table, a young lady in our group tried to re-enter the restaurant and this server held the front door shut so she could not open it! If the owners & staff are bitter about working on New Years Eve and seeing their customers having a bit of fun they should close the restaurant on that night. Our server, however, was perfect and friendly and remained above the fracas the rest of the staff stirred up. Nothing even remotely like this has EVER happened to anyone in our party in our many years dining in restaurants the world over. We will doubtfully ever have another horrible dining experience like this again. Each New Years Eve for years to come when we get together we will remember this awful experience and chuckle at the pretentiousness and stupidity of the employees at Redwoods. I hope everyone that reads this account will choose to have thier meal in any other of the better restaurants in St. Pete. Don't subject yourself to the possibility of being treated as we were. Shame on you Redwoods, you are an embarrasment to our fantastic city!
